Mixed construction and demolition waste arrives at Park Ridge and is sorted rather than tipped straight to disposal. That sorting is what makes recovery possible, and it is done on the machine. This role is running the excavator on the sorting floor.
What you will be doing
Operating an excavator to sort incoming construction and demolition loads.
Separating concrete, clean fill, timber and metals into their own streams.
Loading out processed material.
Keeping the sorting area tidy and safe to work in.
Working in with the weighbridge and yard staff as loads come through the gate.
What you will need
A current excavator ticket.
Availability across 7 days, including weekends.
Awareness of what you are working around. Trucks, other plant and customers all move through the yard.
The right to work in Australia.
Looked on favourably
Experience sorting waste, or time in a quarry, civil or demolition environment.
Experience running a sorting grab or materials handler.
A construction white card.
A loader ticket.
