Park Ridge, Queensland

The recycling centre

APEX Recycling operates a transfer station at Park Ridge where builders, trades and the public can dispose of construction and demolition waste. Waste entering the facility is assessed, sorted and processed for recycling or appropriate disposal.

How it works

Bringing a load to Park Ridge

01

Arrive at the facility

Come to 41-45 Prosperity Place during transfer station hours. The tip is closed Sunday. Skip and hook bin deliveries run separately, 7 days a week.

02

Your load is assessed

APEX checks what is in the load before tipping. That decides whether the material is accepted and how it is charged.

03

Charged by weight or volume

Depending on the material, loads are charged per tonne or per cubic metre. Current rates are on the pricing page.

04

Sorted and processed

Waste is sorted so recoverable materials can be separated, with the balance directed to appropriate disposal.

Before you load the truck

Not sure if we take it?

APEX accepts a range of construction and demolition materials. Some materials have specific acceptance requirements. If you are not certain a material will be accepted, contact APEX before you load, rather than after you arrive.

Site rules, payment and what we cannot take

What we cannot accept

Asbestos. APEX does not accept asbestos in any form, at the facility or in a bin. There is no exception to this.
If a load arrives containing material we cannot accept, a reload fee of $200 plus GST applies and the material goes back with you.
If you are not certain about a material, contact us before you load rather than after you arrive.

Site rules

Steel cap boots and hi vis are required on site.
Follow the directions of APEX staff at all times.
Stay with your vehicle unless directed otherwise, and keep children inside the vehicle.
Loads must be secured and covered in transit. That is a road rule, not just a site rule.
Observe the site speed limit and give way to trucks and plant moving through the yard.

Paying for your load

Cash and card on site.
EFT.
Trade account customers are invoiced on account. Apply for an account if you are in regularly.
A minimum charge of $150 plus GST applies per drop. Full rates and fees are on the pricing page.
