The facility

Bringing a load to Park Ridge

Where is the APEX transfer station?

41-45 Prosperity Place, Park Ridge QLD 4125. Bring your load to the weighbridge when you arrive.

What are your opening hours?

The transfer station is open Monday to Friday 6:00am to 5:00pm and Saturday 6:00am to 12:00 noon, and is closed on Sunday. Skip and hook bin deliveries run 7 days a week, Sunday included.

What happens when I arrive with a load?

Your load is assessed before tipping. That assessment decides whether the material is accepted and how it is charged.

How is my load charged?

By the tonne or by the cubic metre, depending on the material. APEX confirms which basis applies to your load on arrival.

What does disposal cost?

C&D mixed waste is $260 per tonne, clean concrete is $75 per tonne, dirt and concrete is $125 per tonne, and C&D mixed waste by volume is $105 per cubic metre. All rates exclude GST and a minimum charge of $150 plus GST applies per drop. Prices are subject to change.

What materials do you accept?

Construction and demolition mixed waste, clean concrete, dirt and concrete, clean soil, green waste, timber, household waste, light and heavy gauge metal, copper and aluminium. Asbestos is not accepted.

Do you pay for scrap metal?

Yes. APEX buys clean scrap metal. Metal prices move week to week, so contact us for that week's rate rather than working from a published figure.

I am not sure whether you take a material. What should I do?

Contact APEX before you load the truck rather than after you arrive. It saves a wasted trip.

Bins

Skip bins and hook bins

What bin sizes are available?

Skip bins in 3.0, 4.5, 7.0 and 9.0 cubic metres, and hook bins in 12 and 16 cubic metres.

What is included in the bin price?

All bin prices exclude GST and include delivery, 14 days hire, collection and tipping fees. Published prices are for mixed construction and demolition waste.

How long can I keep the bin?

Standard hire is 14 days. If you need it longer, arrange that before booking rather than after. Extended hire may incur an additional charge.

Where do you deliver?

Across Brisbane, Ipswich and the Gold Coast, 7 days a week including Saturday and Sunday. The price is the same across all three areas.

What is the difference between a skip bin and a hook bin?

Skip bins run from 3.0 to 9.0 cubic metres and suit renovations, clean-ups and smaller sites. Hook bins start at 12 cubic metres and suit demolition, bulk construction waste and heavy material. A 16 cubic metre hook bin holds close to double a 9 cubic metre skip.

How much room do I need for a hook bin?

Both hook bins are 5.0 metres long, and the truck needs clear room beyond that to set the bin down and collect it. Firm, level ground with no overhead obstructions. If you are unsure, tell us about the site and we will advise.

Does submitting the request form book my bin?

No. Nothing is booked until APEX comes back to confirm availability, access, price and timing.

Can I put concrete or soil in a bin?

Yes, and it is usually cheaper. A bin filled with a single clean material such as concrete is charged at the clean rate rather than the mixed rate, because it does not need separating. Talk to us before you load so the right bin goes out, and note each bin has a maximum load.

How full can I fill the bin?

Keep the load level with the top of the bin so it can be transported safely.

Ask before you load

The quickest way to avoid a wasted trip or a surprise charge is to ask first. Tell us what you have, where you are and roughly how much of it there is, and we will come back with what we can accept and what it will cost.

Ask A Question
Accounts and contact

Trade accounts, records and getting in touch

Can my business open an account with APEX?

Yes. A trade account lets your business run a tab with APEX instead of paying on the day.

How do I apply for a trade account?

Submit your business details through the online application. APEX then emails you from accounts@apexrecycling.com.au with the declaration and guarantee documents to complete, contacts the trade references you provide, and confirms your account and credit limit in writing.

Does submitting the application open my account?

No. Submitting the form starts an application. It does not open an account or grant credit.

Why are parts of the credit application handled by email?

The declaration and guarantee documents contain personal and financial information. APEX handles those by email rather than collecting them through this website.

Can I get recycling figures for my project?

Contact APEX to discuss what can be provided for your specific loads. APEX does not claim that all waste received is recycled. Recovery depends on what is in the load, how well it is separated and what the material is.

How do I get in touch?

Email orders@apexrecycling.com.au for enquiries and bin requests, or accounts@apexrecycling.com.au for trade accounts. You can also send an enquiry through the contact page.
